The Telford Arms pub has announced it’s closing at the end of the month after being returned to the brewery.
On a post published on their social media proprietor, George Cruikshank broke the news.
The post said “It has been fun & emotional but it is time to say GOODBYE & THANK YOU to all our wonderful customers and all the staff that have made this an amazing experience over the last 12 years.

“I have sold the pub to the brewery who are going to do a major refit and have a new management team in place ready to re-open in March – so watch out for the ‘Scottish Engineer.’

It’s understood the new name is to remember the famous Scottish Engineer, Thomas Telford.
