RNLI and Coastguard rescue man from Cramond Island
Emergency services were alerted to a male who was cut off by the tide shortly after 8pm tonight.

Launched to a person cut off by tide and suffering from the cold on Cramond Island.The casualty had attempted to wait for the tide to fall so he could cross the causeway back to land. But after being stuck for around 4 hours and with cold temperatures and poor weather closing in, he called for assistance.
The Lifeboat crew assessed the casualty on the island and requested an Ambulance to Granton Harbour.
The casualty was landed at Granton in to the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service and South Queensferry Coastguard
