A man was taken to hospital this morning following a fire at a flat on West Granton Road.
Around twenty firefighters attended the fire just before 8am.
The road was closed for around an hour.
A fire investigation team spent the afternoon investigating the cause of the fire.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said “We received a call at 0803 hours on Wednesday 4 April from Scottish Fire and Rescue Service about a fire in West Granton Road.
“We sent one A&E ambulance, two Special Operation Response team resources and a duty manager.
“One male was conveyed to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.”
