A man has been charged with the murder of a two-year-old boy in Muirhouse.
Emergency services were called to a property in Muirhouse Place West at 9.30am on Saturday.
Julius Czapla died at the scene soon after.
Lucasz Czapla, 40, was charged with murder at Edinburgh sheriff court yesterday.
He made no plea and was remanded in custody.
