Essential work to resurface worn sections of path and improve drainage across Edinburgh’s North Edinburgh Path Network is due to get underway on 7 March for 12 weeks.
Works will be carried out in phases, starting with Blackhall, Trinity and Hawthornvale paths.
Signs will be put up in all works areas a week in advance, advising of diversion routes.
The works on the Blackhall Path are due to get underway first on Wednesday 7 March, lasting approximately three weeks until 23 March.
Diversion routes will be available for all path users during the working hours – which will be 0730hrs to 1730hrs Monday to Friday – with local pedestrian access maintained for residents.
Transport Convener Councillor Lesley Macinnes said: “These vital works will make a huge difference to the very well-used North Edinburgh Path Network, making it even easier to walk and cycle.
“I’m aware there will be some travel disruption for path users during the works and we will make every effort to ensure diversion routes are as widely communicated as possible so that people can plan their journeys.
“We’d like to thank everyone in advance for their patience and understanding while these essential improvements are carried out.”
