Police have launched an investigation after a woman was found seriously injured in a flat in West Pilton early this morning.
Forensic officers have spent most of the day at the property on West Pilton Avenue after emergency services were called to the incident at 5.25am.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police were called around 5:25am on Monday 28 October 2019, following the reports of serious injuries to a female at an address on West Pilton Avenue, Edinburgh.
“Emergency services attended the scene and enquiries are at an early stage.”
