Police are investigating after a man was raped on a local cycle path in the early hours of this morning.
An area near to the exit for Ainslie Park has been sealed off with officers standing guard as.
Detectives have now launched a full investigation.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said “Police in Edinburgh are investigating a report that a 36-year-old man was the victim of a serious sexual assault in the Pilton area in the early hours of Monday, 28 October.
“Inquiries are ongoing.”
