Police have launched an investigation after a man’s body was discovered on Silverknowes Beach earlier today.
Officers were alerted after the find just after 9am.
A large has been cordoned off and a police forensics are in attendance.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a man’s body found near Silverknowes beach, Edinburgh, around 9am on Monday, 5 October.
“Officers and the ambulance service are currently in attendance. Enquiries are at an early stage to establish the identity of the man and the full circumstances.”
