Police are investigating following an attempted murder in Pilton last night.
A 19-year-old man was ‘stabbed’ inside a property in Inchcolm Court around 9.30pm.
A large area around the block of flats is currently cordoned off and a police tent has been erected on the grass nearby.
Forensic officers are currently in attendance.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said “Around 9.30pm on Wednesday, 7 October, officers were called to a report of a man seriously assaulted within a flat in West Pilton Grove, Edinburgh following an altercation a short time earlier in Ferry Road Drive.
“The 19 year-old man was taken by Ambulance to Edinburgh Royal Hospital where hospital staff describe his condition as serious. Police enquiries are continuing into this incident and it is being treated as attempted murder.
