Hibs were denied a fourth straight win in stoppage time yesterday just as it looked like they would take all three points against Kilmarnock.
Christian Doidge headed Hibs into the lead midway through the first half when he beat the keeper in the air, and his looping header ended up in the net.
Hibs doubled their lead minutes into the second half when Jason Naismith broke down the wing before cutting into the box and unleashing a strike that rocketed into the net.
Alex Bruce pulled one back for Kilmarnock when he prodded in after the hosts failed to clear a corner.
Deep in injury time, Dario Del Fabro swept home from close range to level the game and ensure a shore of the spoils.
The Italian’s last-gasp intervention prevented Ross from winning a third successive game since being appointed Hibs head coach.
After the match, Hibs head coach, Jack Ross, said “We’re immensely frustrated and disappointed. There’s no point in dwelling too much on saying large parts of the performance were good if we don’t win the game.
“Even the equalising goal, we’re in a good position in possession and sometimes just that decision-making, making decisions that are a bit uglier and not so easy on the eye and being a bit more streetwise. But we’ll get there with that.”
