Family and friends of Chelsea Tant gathered on Wednesday night to release balloons and fireworks in her memory.
Hundreds of balloons were released over north Edinburgh as around two hundred people attended the vigil in Pilton Park.
Chelsea, 27, was well known in the area through her various roles with community groups over the years and she sadly passed away last week.
As well as volunteering and then doing part-time youth work at Fet Lor Youth centre and Drylaw Neighbourhood Centre she was also a volunteer with Street Assist helping people in the city centre.
Chelsea’s funeral will take place on Thursday at Warriston Crematorium at 11am to which all her friends are invited.
People can wear something bright and colourful if they wish.
