Scottish Fire and Rescue respond to fire on balcony
Shortly after 8am this morning fire control received a 999 call reporting a fire at Inchmickery Court (Muirhouse Grove) –
Due to the size of the building and the potential of the fire multiple engines where sent to the scene including high rise ladder in case it was required.
A small fire on a balcony was extinguished and nobody was injured. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
One resident said
“I seen the fire engines arrive just after 8am and they went in with their breathing masks on, I could not see any smoke but I did start to get worried when more and more fire engines kept arriving. Thankfully nobody was injured”
Residents are reminded that they should never tackle a fire and should always summon help from the fire service by dially 999
