Local DJ Jim Henderson aka DJ Edinburgh will host his first ‘Live Aid’ event tomorrow night to raise as much money for charity as he can.
Jim who has been hosting online parties and quizzes during lockdown hopes to be able to hold an outdoor local event this year also.
On Friday night Jim will play host to an Edinburgh star-studded event at Melville Castle from 6.30-8pm and the same again on Saturday at Houston House Hotel.
Both shows will be broadcast on his Facebook page and will follow music from the iconic 1984 concert.
Jim said “I am really looking forward to hosting these events and raising as much money as we can.
“I must thank all the singers and performers who have agreed to come along and play for the online audience.
“Both nights will be great and I really hope my followers enjoy them.”
Jim has submitted an application to the council to hold an outside event on the grass behind Drylaw Church and hopes to have an update on that in the coming weeks.
