Crewe Road North close next week for three weeks to allow for “urgent” repairs, it has been announced.
The busy route will be closed from Monday just north of Crewe Toll roundabout to allow Scottish Water to carry out repairs on a collapsed 375mm sewer pipe.
A local diversion will be in place via West Granton Access, for approximately 3 weeks.
This will have a major impact on the local area with resurfacing work on Telford Road still taking place.
A spokesperson for Scottish Water said: “We apologise for any inconvenience and thank affected road users and local residents in advance for their patience and understanding.
“Our delivery partners Mackenzies Construction will be carrying out this work on our behalf.”
